In Episode 11, Juliet and Sammy reflect on their first Satori Circle - a space created for people leaders to come together, share real challenges, and experience the power of being genuinely heard and understood.
The session was built around the principles of Action Learning Sets, a structured yet human approach to peer coaching. Rather than jumping in with advice or quick solutions, participants were encouraged to listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and support each other in finding their own answers.
What emerged was a powerful reminder that leadership can often feel isolating - but it doesn’t have to be.
In a Satori Circle, there’s space to:
Speak openly about real situations
Learn from others’ experiences
Gain fresh perspectives, and
Reflect more deeply on your own leadership approach
Juliet and Sammy share how valuable it was to witness leaders stepping out of “problem-solving mode” and into curiosity, reflection, and connection. The result is not only better thinking, but also stronger relationships and a greater sense of shared experience.
At its heart, this episode highlights the value of peer coaching - creating environments where leaders can support each other, rather than feeling they need to have all the answers alone.
This current Circle will run for 6 months and the next Satori Circle will begin in September. The format is simple and intentional: a small group of peers meeting for 90 minutes each month over six months, creating continuity, trust, and deeper learning over time.
If you’re a people leader looking for space to think, reflect, and grow alongside others, this episode offers a glimpse into what that kind of experience can feel like - and why it matters.
